BIT #3: Information Overload
There is a lot to tell you coming up...
Yeah, about this week...
When you live your life in a certain way, change is hard. It becomes harder when there's no opportunity to rearrange yourself fast enough to manage what is being asked of you. It's why my favourite brand of High Interval Intensity Training has become so effective at improving adaptability. As of tomorrow, that goes away for about five weeks and I am back to basics. This morning, that reality finally hit, and my brain threw ALL the toys out of my Silver Cross Pram.
If all I had to do was alter my exercise approach in over a month or so, we'd not be having this conversation. This next bit however now holds the potential to redefine large portions of my flourishing creative career, and I've been desperately trying to organise myself to negotiate as stress free a path through it as possible. Life however has other ideas, and life largely gets to dictate a lot of stuff as it fucking well pleases right now, as you will all be all too aware of.
So, where does that leave my now slightly fragile neurodivergent self?
I have a killer new haircut. My Gym meltdown was managed well. I'll need to find a quiet space in the Sports Hall if I need to do that again starting tomorrow. Work has been offered to me for NEXT year already, and have tentatively said yes, so there are some things that have to happen today so that, starting tomorrow, we can go back to how the Amended Sandwich Project is gonna work out.
There's still paperwork to arrange but I'll be busy from early May to the beginning of September. An outcome in June will (I 99% suspect) result in there being a Pamphlet launch in October. I have a Pop-Up Exhibition planned for early November. I'm booking the last six weeks of the year as holiday now: no exceptions, unless of course someone ELSE decides to publish me.
Then I need to get back to this coping strategy as a regular occurrence again.
I miss a lot of things currently. My office is a bombsite and not having calm in here needs to be addressed this weekend as a major priority. Clothes need to be fixed, and we will get at least one warmup done and sent for my Stanza people on Saturday. However, for the first time since we began in 2017, worrying when I will be paid and how we will continue progress long-term is covered.
There is a lot to tell you coming up.
