Unexpected Delays
Does this face look bothered? LOOK AT MY FACE.

I used to be the type of person who would get horribly stressed when stuff did not go 'to plan’. Previous July’s have become a case in point: it’s the month of the Sealey Challenge, where I’ve tried to read new poetry. The last couple of times I've attempted is, ‘life’ inevitably has ended up getting in the way. We'd make it halfway into the month and then, BANG, progress would implode.

I was ready to start July with a Blog Post yesterday and high expectations, but instead chose to visit a friend who I’ve not seen for a while. It was much needed and very emotional, for Reasons I honestly have no desire to discuss with anyone else but her, and after getting back yesterday the fatigue was so real that I ended up crashing out for over two hours. The afternoon effectively vanished.

This is a warning to myself to tread carefully in the following weeks.

Art Trail shirts are here. Scan the QR to follow my Instagram.

The definitive Trail Guide will be finished today: not for me, but for everybody else's benefit. The original plan, which was useful only to the point when I accepted engagement would end up as the limiting factor, has largely been scrubbed. We will talk about details when the Trail is done: I have a number of side projects which will also become part of the contribution of what is going to happen 'live'.

There will however be an attempt to blog every day, starting with the first Private View I'm invited to, which is tomorrow. After that, there is really not much idea of what details on the ground will entail. Lots of lessons have been learnt in the last five weeks or so, mostly about the way other artists choose to work or otherwise, and that process is for many a deeply private affair.

So, without further ado, it is time to get cracking.
