OMG there's a lot that's happened in the last week, and is about to happen in Q4...

For those of you who were not here last week, PAMPHLET! is on pre-order. This week on the blog therefore we will be GOING BACK IN TIME to 2023 when it was written, the circumstances that transpired that meant that it needed to be, and why sometimes, it matters more about having destiny in your own hands than it ever does to be successful. Plus, we'll be talking about NEW IDEAS.
This week also has a Stanza Saturday, which means I need to write a worksheet on performance. However, this will be considerably easier than it would have been last week because the Art Trail draft is DONE. We will now let the entire thing settle for a week and then start the editing process at the back end of the Bank Holiday weekend, after which it is September and ARGH.
Why all the caps?, I hear some of you say, well that's because we start getting busy again: I have a pop-up Poetry Exhibition on November 1st. There's the IRL Pamphlet Launch sometime in October (will hopefully be meeting the venue Soon [TM] to confirm dates). The original plan was to do the Exhibition and Launch together, but that is now not happening because of stuff. You do not need to know.
The Online Launch is also TBC, because the person who will host it has been unwell, but we'll be working on it all this week. We have some crafting that needs to happen, and some gift boxes to complete, and a smart woman would be thinking of Christmas about now because of how insanely stupid November and December could end up being... because my facilitating is now complete.
The application that might alter 2027 has been sent off. Now, we wait.
Regardless of its outcome, there will be some teaching in November. I will be putting the finishing touches to a project that I may (or may not) get funding/support for and regardless of that outcome, we will be doing it next year. All of this is also underpinned by the poetry film project I wanted to do last year and go into pre-production properly, starting in January.
All this is actual work. That is, I realise, the most important thing about the entirety of this journey. I have a purpose. This statement holds both value and significance, as 95% of this has been built entirely with my own hands, my own ideas, under my own auspice. All that was done before has undoubtedly led to this moment. The satisfaction this grants me right now is significant.
I am very much looking forward to the journey ahead.
