One a Day / 01.09.26
A new Thing for a new Month. First of Many :D
It's time to change the direction of this space for a while, starting with a daily poem. The warmup has served me well over the last few years, and with some major changes on the way here in October, it is time to practice what I keep preaching. This gives space for new ideas to flourish and old wood to be quietly cut away. We'll be doing this therefore until the 30th, by which time everything happening in the background will be ready for you. Thanks for reading.

The Process
Yesterday/ just after breakfast
I burnt a Bridge.
I had built it / from scratch / from nothing
stantions of ideas / that had grown
waiting for me / to join them / with
words / were the direction / it would cover
connection / always the destination.
And as the first flame took hold
I felt nothing.
I had thrown / everything I was / into this
care and consideration thought and action
it had become / an edifice of collaboration
until the day / it became a fallacy
as someone tried to tell me / it was theirs.
I did not remember how they
had bought it out from under me.
I accepted that sometimes other people
do not take kindly / to construction
recycling or / even reproduction.
Other people / want the world to never change.
I accept I am grateful / not to be the same as them.
Today I stand and ask myself
what must / can be salvaged
so we can start the process / once again.
